Brilliant Typographic Adhesive Tape Installations by Doyle Partners via Laughing Squid by EDW Lynch on 9/27/11

So I realize that this was done for a commercial purpose, but I think that this is a great reminder that installations don't have to be permanent or super-expensive (it's just tape!) to be amazing.

What if the Secret to Success Is Failure?

For the New York Times Magazine article “What if the Secret to Success Is Failure?”, advertising studio Doyle Partners created wonderful adhesive tape/typographic installations. But the making of videos are even better (see “Cipher” and “In the Gym”).

The photo with the basket ball court is so tricky on the eyes.I've never seen anything like this actually. Very neat.

This could definitely be used in a public space, out in the open, to get a message across.

I really liked this. It seems so simple from that one perspective, but it wouldn't make much sense from anywhere else. It must have taken forever to figure out the right lengths and angles to get the letters proportional to each other as well. Can't help but admire such hard work and rigorous calculations.
